A chance to study Spanish and take a wine tour
Here at the Instituto Hemingway, we know that learning a language is much more than memorising grammar tables. We firmly believe that the best way to learn is to travel to the country where it is spoken, and to live among native speakers in order to understand the culture behind the language. Travelling around the country, getting to know its art, music and gastronomy is a great way to practice the language. What’s more, becoming aware of these cultural aspects will allow you truly to immerse yourself in the essence of the country.
One of the most distinctive products of Spain is its wine, and Rioja wine is perhaps the most definitive of these, as much for its history as for its quality. Under this designation of origin, we can distinguish various wines; some made in Castilla y León, some in the Basque Country and especially in the Rioja itself.
Inspired by the importance of wine to Spain, we propose a slightly different programme to our students: if they want to get away from the obvious tourist routes, why not combine their Spanish course with a wine tour around La Rioja?
It could be a really great experience: you will visit bodegas, discover the secrets of wine, immerse yourself in Spanish gastronomy, guided by our experts… This is an opportunity to improve your Spanish whilst at the same time discovering the most authentic Spanish traditions.
Instituto Hemingway is lucky enough to be located very close to this “wine heaven”, and we can assure you that such a tour will be an enjoyable and enriching experience.
Do you fancy a glass of red and some good company?
