MAEC-AECID placements available for Spanish teachers in foreign universities
The Spanish Foreign Office has officially announced the grants available for the 2012/13 academic year for MAEC-AECID placements for Spanish teachers in foreign universities.
This is a great opportunity for anyone specialised in teaching Spanish. The grant requirements vary between centres, but it is a great chance for teachers specialised in the didactics of Spanish as a Foreign Language. We’d like to encourage the graduates of our Spanish as a Foreign Language teacher training course to apply for these grants.
These grants demonstrate a policy of international academic cooperation and promotion of the Hispanic languages and cultures. They also represent a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in teaching.
Among the requirements are the following:
- The candidate must posess a degree or Phd from a Spanish university in one of the following: Philology, Linguistics, Theory of Literature, Translation and Interpretation or Humanities.
- The candidate must be specifically trained in the didactics of Spanish language.
- The candidate must possess experience as a Spanish language teacher, and/or a Spanish literature teacher.
The application period for these placements will close 15 days after the publication of the announcement. For this reason, those interested should consult the detailed information given in the Official State Bulletin (BOE)
We hope that you will be able to take full advantage of this fantastic opportunity.
Let us know how it goes!
