March programme of cultural activities for our Spanish students
We’ve just posted the timetable of the cultural activities that Instituto Hemingway will put on in March for our Spanish students. We really encourage you to sign up for these activities: it’s a great opportunity to get to know the local culture (and also your classmates) completely free of charge.
Our activities this month include:
Tuesday 6th: Guggenheim Museum
A trip to Bilbao’s most famous museum, whose impressive architecture and interesting exhibitions attract innumerable tourists to the city every year. If you haven’t gone yet, you just can’t say no to this trip. Even those who have been before always find somethng new to explore.
Friday 9th and Tuesday 27th: Arriaga Theatre
In the first theatre trip, we will see a Spanish-language version of “Of Mice and Men” (“De ratones y hombres”), and in the second we’ll enjoy jazz music in all the different styles of the 20th century.
Monday 19th: A boat trip through Bilbao
A boat tour along Bilbao’s River Nervión. You will see the city from a whole new perspective, discovering hidden corners that you may never have seen before.
Friday 30th: Our legendary Pintxos Tour
What better way to end the month than with a wander around the Old Quarter, enjoying all the different pintxos and the odd glass of wine.
Also comingup this month: a trip up Mount Pagasarri, a visit to the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum, the Alhóndiga and much much more.
You can sign up for an activity every day: we can’t wait to show you around Bilbao.
Come on, join in!
