Useful information about the May 2012 DELE exams

As you know, the Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language is the official accreditation of a student’s competency in the Spanish language, and is awarded by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport.

Until 20th April, you can sign up for the next DELE exam period, which will take place between the dates of 25th and 26th May. Given that these dates may vary slightly depending on the country and cenre in which you wish to sit the exams, we recommend that you check the Cervantes website regularly.

The Instituto Cervantes has also created an online area with information and specific teaching materials for Spanish teachers who wish to help prospective candidates prepare for the DELE exams. They have also made available DELE exam past papers, including a model paper for the new C2 level.
The exams are held in over 700 centres around the world, including one in Bilbao.

For those of you who have decided to take the exam, well done! But remember that it is important to familiarize yourselves not just with the content of the exam, but with its structure as well.
