Fulbright Grants available for Spanish teachers in the USA
Applications are now open for the Fulbright Grants, available for anyone with a university or college degree (see the Bologna Plan for details) who is interested in pursuing a career in language education.
Grant students would work with the Spanish Language department of the host university, and take charge of activities such as: organizing language laboratories; tutoring conversation groups; teaching study groups; coordinating extra-academic and/or extra-curricular activities and, occasionally, taking charge of a certain subject.
They could also themselves study two or three modules, if any particularly appeal to them.
The grant is valid for a whole academic year, from August/September 2013 until May/June 2014. Beneficiaries will receive US $4,000, plus complementary financial assistance from their host university which usually covers food, accommodation and medical insurance.
The application period for the grants is 22nd March – 26th April 2012. You can find the online application form here.
