Spanish Clases: Using authentic materials

The materials available for learning-teaching Spanish are inumerable: new proposals on the editing market, free sites on the website, materials. There are definitely many possibilities to take advantage of.

The task is even more complicated when leaving aside these teaching materials, the ELE teacher proposes to take advantage of the AUTHENTIC MATIERLAS. This includes texts, audios and authentic videos.

This possibility is agasint the need to invest both time and dedication into the selection of materials with which we work, such as the creation of corresponding activities. As for the advantages the best of our language, is without a doubt the reality (the language in use), we can choose themes of special interest for out group of students and we can take advantage of developing exercises that work with those linguistic aspects that students need most practice with.

From the beginning it´s important to select the materials that clearly explain the objectives that we want to persue. And afterwards, create a sequence of activities that integrate the contents that we want to explain and at the same time contextualise the language choosen.

It seems complicated, but while we gather some experience, we will discover that it´s not like we think! Also, it´s a pleasure to be able to choose the contents ourselves.
