My opinion on the distance-learning course for teachers of Spanish ELE

Hello everyone, my name is Miguel Angel and I would like to give my opinion on the course, and such.

I would like to start by saying that I do not have any experience as a teacher of Spanish as a Second Language, and it is mainly because of this, that I decided to do the course. I need to say that I do have experience in teaching Spanish – but only to Spanish students -– and foreign languages (mainly English), because, in general, I like languages and being able to teach something that I like to people who are in need of it (regardless of why they are studying another language) pleases me.

On the other hand, Spanish is a language on the rise and one of the most spoken in the world,

The course (I did it online) fulfilled all the expectations and I believe it is very thorough and it deals with necessary themes such as methodologies and it emphasises the development of Communication Skills, as well as analysing all the elements that form part of the complex process of teaching/learning. Because of this, I don’t have any complaints although had I been able to, I would have preferred to do the course in-person.

The main reason for doing the course was to improve my knowledge and skills, as well as to open other doors for me, given that, as I said in the beginning, I don´t have any real experience in this field. Thanks to the course, I know that many doors, which had previously been closed, have now been opened for me in a variety of countries.

I would like to say goodbye and assure everyone who has doubts about doing the course that you won´t be disappointed and that the Instituto will further your, and in the long run, its future students’, education.
