Onwards to Italy as a Spanish teacher

Hello everyone, my name is Maria and I would like to share with you the reason why I have decided to do this course. 

Two years ago, because of my husband's work, we decided to move to Italy. I dedicated the better part of this time to my family, above all my daughters who were completely on board with this adventure that made them change house, language, school, and friends... I used the rest of the time to learn Italian, and of course to make headway through the many bureaucratic processes.
Now that some time had passed and we were more or less settled, it was time to go back to the world of work. So I began my job search.
In Spain I worked as a programming teacher. I liked my job. I like teaching, but it was clear that I wouldn't have much luck finiding a similar job here, as it was logical to suppose that, just like in Spain, in Italy, there were many programmers, and very few with the handicap that I had: language. But I knew that in Italy, Spanish was a language very much in demand, which in fact was offered in middle and high schools as a second language. Furthermore, there are many Italians who decide to learn it just for the sheer pleasure of speaking it, as they are all in love with our country.
Then, why not make my mother tongue my symbol of identity and turn my career towards the teaching of Spanish?
It is clear that if you have thought about dedicating yourself to the world of teaching, you must like and be passionate about this field, which is what I had. But if you want to teach Spanish, it is not enough that you are a native. You need to have and know a bit more, so it was then, through this little thought, that discovered the exciting world of ELE (Spanish as a foreign language): 
I didn't have to read many articles or blogs to realise that I wanted to be part of this world and that was the fundamental reason why I have done the course.
The course has been very interesting and efficient. I have not only learnt a lot, but it has made me see how important being a teaher is, so that success or failure really dependes on the quality of the teacher and their ability to communicate.
Now that I have a clearer idea of what it is to teach Spanish and knowing that I still have a long way to go, I feel more safe, more motivated to continue forward, and I believe that I can become a better teacher.
