Curso profesores de español: conceptos que he aprendido
My name is Beatriz Gombau and I am a primary school teacher. Apart from education the topic of languages has attracted my attention a lot, therefore and because of the fact that I want to continue educating myself and learning new things, I decided to do this course.
It is not the same as preparing yourself to be in front of primary school to whom you have to teach not only language, but also mathematics, the sciences, values.....as teaching Spanish as a foreign language to whoever, whether it be a child or an older person who wants to learn it , and knowing how to act at with different levels. Therefore, due to my inadequecies in this aspect and to the fact that shortly I want to go away, possibly to Oxford, I think that it was interesting and important to do this course.
During this course I have felt quite motivated in reading the modules and carrying out the internships. Furthermore I could alway pose relevant questions if I thought that I had not understood what I´d read. For personal reasons, in these last months I have not been able to devote 100% to the course, but now I am returning to the attack for the final part; and the truth, that I feel happy with what I have learnt. Before, for example , if I had known about the existance of the communicative method , but sometimes even knowing the methods I do not use them how we should, and thanks to this course I really that this type of methodology is something essential in my classroom use. Furthermore the course can serve not only to teach Spanish as a foreign language, but also for the teaching in general; because a lot of aspects are the same, in a classroom, the teacher has to adapt to the reality of the classroom, motivating and accompanying the pupil in their learning, and all of this is important in whatever type of learning.
Without further ado , I believe and hope that this course will help me to have a more adequete idea of how to teach Spanish as a foreign language, and will help me to be able to answer my future students.
