My preparation as a Spanish teacher in Switzerland
I am called Sabina Egil Alvarez, what I study has nothing to do with teaching Spanish. I started doing private classes, with the support of curricular programmes and teaching materials. I don’t think this was sufficient, when I started to notice how important it is that I connect with the students. I went to seminars and courses to specialise in teaching English. In Switzerland as I studied and as I worked I started to take a lot of pleasure in this work. Therefore I decided to do the course.
Thanks to Afredo Orive, during my time doing the course I have grown not only as a teacher but also as a student. The virtual library is very complete; the suggested lectures are perfectly suited for every type of student and full of useful information. The slides and advice that they gave me always accompany me. I never felt lost or alone. The teaching plan and the team have driven me towards becoming a better teacher. I feel a lot more confident and assured when I take Spanish classes. I achieve my objective and my students consequently progress gradually. I hope you have a lot of success and happy times.
Kind regards
Sabina Egil
